The Exeter Chiefs Cycle Club was founded in 2016 during the first European Challenge charity ride. The possibility of starting a cycle club was originally dreamt up by David Cosford and his vision was shared with riders during the inaugural European Cycle Challenge to Bordeaux.

A bond formed between the riders and so did the idea of riding regularly together to share their passion for both cycling and rugby. The next European Challenge was already being talked about as a annual event and a more permanent club made perfect sense. We haven’t looked back.
